2012 REHABILITATION NETWORK
From February through to July 2012, Effective Australia will be running monthly information and networking sessions specifically for RRTW Coordinators. With a new name and outstanding speakers, the focus of these short sessions is to update RRTWC with the latest information, current trends and legal issues within the WorkCover SA scheme. Each session will be followed by an opportunity to network and light refreshments will be served.
Attendees will gain a greater understanding of:

  • Rehabilitation plans and programs
  • The psychological impact of work injury
  • Current legal issues and implications for the WorkCover system
  • Medical panels and their function in the worker's compensation system
  • Pain management
  • How best to work with GP's for better outcomes
All sessions will cost $45 or a discounted price of $250 if all six sessions are booked at once.

Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinators

All Employers with more than 30 workers in South Australia must have a suitably trained Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator

Access Working Careers in partnership with Effective Australia are a WorkCover approved provider of Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinators

Attendees will learn to:
  • Carry out the functions of the coordinator, as outlined in section 28D of the Act
  • Apply a working knowledge of the relevant sections of the Act
  • Establish and maintain a system for managing the rehabilitation and return to work of injured workers within the participant’s organisation
  • Communicate with an injured worker, the doctor, supervisors, managers, case managers, vocational rehabilitation consultants, medical experts and other key persons involved in the workplace return to work process
  • Plan and coordinate an individual suitable employment schedule for an injured worker
  • Monitor the effectiveness of the coordination of suitable employment schedules plans as well as the overall effectiveness of workplace rehabilitation within your organisation
